An Undeniable Miracle

....for all men glorified God for that which was done. from Acts 4:21

In the early church one day when Peter and John were going to the temple to pray they found a crippled man sitting by the gate.   The man was of course asking for gifts of charity.  Peter and John told him to look at them.  He did and then Peter made this well known statement.
Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.  Peter took him by the hand and immediately the man's legs became strong.  He went walking and leaping and praising God.  This drew a crowd because everyone knew the man.  They all glorified God.  Peter took the opportunity to preach Christ crucified and risen from the dead.  He told them how God was ready to pour out grace on them all.

The end of this story tells how everyone glorified God but their was a group that didn't respond this way.  The Sadducees and the high priest arrested Peter and John for preaching Jesus.  Yet in the end they could not deny the miracle that was done in His name.

Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it. Acts 4:16

Isn't it sad how they actually wanted to deny what God was doing?  Everyone else wanted to praise God for what He had done.   You have a testimony.  What God has done for you is reason to give Him praise.  There will always be those who try to silence you or embarrass you.  Praise Him any way they cannot deny your miracle.  They cannot deny the name of Jesus that saved you.
